The store renovation has progressed nicely since the last newsletter about 10 days ago. At that time, I believed that we would be open this week. However, I was encouraged to be patient, as construction and inspector work cannot be put on a schedule. I’m not much for patience right now, especially since I started advertising in January. Had I known better, I would have waited 1-2 months to start the advertising. Folks are now asking, WHEN?
If you get asked this question, the time has finally arrived! I will send out one more newsletter announcing the opening countdown. To be safe, I will send that after I pass all inspections and have my Certificate of Occupancy. For you all, I’m hoping that will be next Thursday, or Tuesday, June 4th.
I am ready to take advantage of the volunteer help. If any of you who live in town feel generous, know that I would appreciate the help. I have scheduled delivery of the shelving and remaining equipment for Thursday-Saturday. If you are feeling generous, stop by any of those days. I will be in the store all day Thursday and Friday and half of Saturday.
No worries, if you cannot make that date. I am sure something else will come up and volunteers will be needed during the week of June 3rd. The sooner I can get set up, the sooner we can start popping popcorn, and the sooner we can open the store. In my final letter, I will share pictures of the completed store.
Thanks for taking this journey with me. It has been bumpy, scary, overwhelming, and sometimes exhausting; but by the Grace of God, my partner, it has been doable. If you believe in prayer, I will appreciate some.
